Proportioners and monitors for extinguishing systems

Stationary fire protection for manual and automatic firefighting

The aim of stationary fire protection is to detect fires at an early stage using permanently installed fire-extinguishing systems and to extinguish them manually or automatically, in order to protect people, buildings, plant and equipment. Whether sprinkler systems, deluge systems or early fire detection systems – our proportioning systems and fire monitors are used successfully in fire-extinguishing systems worldwide. They reduce risks, lower costs and enhance the performance of fire suppression systems. All products are manufactured to the highest standards and extensively tested. This is also reflected in international approvals and accreditations such as VdS, FM and DNV, which enable the products to be used worldwide.

Our global sales and service network guarantees fire safety consultants, system designers, system installers and fire safety officers comprehensive support before, during and after the procurement of our products. We provide you with detailed advice in advance, including on the transition to fluorine-free foam agents. Furthermore, we offer you a comprehensive service – from repair and commissioning to maintenance.

Proportioners to generate extinguishing foam

Many Class A and B fire scenarios can only be effectively tackled with fire-fighting foam. To produce this, a foam agent must be precisely mixed into the water stream in exact proportions. When designing industrial fire-fighting systems, the selection of the appropriate foam agent and the foam proportioning system is therefore crucial.

Driven solely by the flow of water, FireDos’s proportioning systems – also known as proportioners – operate purely mechanically, ensuring trouble-free, resource-efficient operation. This innovative product concept is characterised by a precise proportioning rate and its independence from the existing water pressure and flow rate. Furthermore, the proportioning systems are suitable for all types of foam concentrate and enable the environmentally friendly and cost-effective testing of the proportioning rate without producing premix or fire-fighting foam.

In addition to traditional stationary proportioning systems, we also offer smart proportioning systems for remote monitoring and fault indication, as well as ECO proportioning systems as a standardised variant with a best-price guarantee and delivery from stock.

Proportioners for stationary fire protection

Stationary proportioners
for extinguishing systems

Our stationary proportioners are applied in sprinkler or deluge, wet or dry extinguishing systems. Typical fields of application are all places where flammable substances, liquids in particular, are produced, transported, stored or disposed of, e.g., in fire extinguishing systems for tank farms, jetties, hangars, high-rack warehouses or pump rooms.

Fire monitors for extinguishing with water or foam

They deliver thousands of gallons of water per minute in excess of 500 feet: fire monitors, designed for use with water, foam or powder. Thanks to the innovative, flow-optimised Oval-Flat design, there is only a minimal loss of pressure. This enables the compact fire monitors to achieve maximum range. Typical applications in fixed fire protection include tank farms, waste incineration plants, jetties and aircraft hangars.

The fire monitors are designed for fire-extinguishing agent flow rates of up to 15,850 gpm and can be controlled both manually and electronically. A wide range of sizes is available depending on the application – all with compact dimensions and a low profile. When combined with thermal imaging cameras or flame detectors, they enable automatic extinguishing as part of early fire detection. Due to their design, operating the extinguishing monitors requires minimal effort and recoil is minimised. To ensure maximum flexibility in the event of an emergency, the optional AMPN multi-purpose nozzle allows the extinguishing agent flow rate to be adjusted for all sizes, even during operation and at full operating pressure.
